With a direct train service to London, Chippenham is a large and popular town with extensive commercial and industrial interest. There are many parks to visit in the town, some of which sit on the banks of the River Avon. The historic village of Lacock is nearby, popular with visitors to the Abbey.
Marlborough
The wide High Street in Marlborough is home to many independent and popular shops as well as excellent restaurants. Marlborough College is a boarding school with an excellent reputation. Marlborough is located within the North Wessex Downs; ancient Savernake Forest is a short distance away.
