Andrew can help find the perfect home for you and your family!

Somerset is located to the south of Bristol and is popular for its beautiful and interesting countryside dotted with small villages, towns and many nature reserves.

Some of the key locations within Somerset are Taunton, Bridgwater, Yeovil, Castle Cary, Wells and Glastonbury.

Taunton is the county town of Somerset and has good transport links by road and train.  The home of Somerset Cricket is in Taunton as is Vivary Park, where outdoor concerts are held in the summer.  The town has many independent and popular High Street shops as well as a choice of good restaurants.  The area surrounding Taunton is very picturesque and popular with residents and visitors alike.

Bridgwater Carnival

Well known for its Carnival, which dates back to the Gunpowder Plot, Bridgwater is now the main hub for nearby Hinkley Point nuclear power station.  As a result the town has seen an increase in new housing.  There has also been a growth in commercial and industrial activity due to its proximity to the M5 motorway.  For nature lovers, there are plenty of green spaces and nature reserves to visit locally.

Yeovil has a strong industrial heritage and nearby RNAS Yeovilton is one of the busiest military airbases in the UK.  Yeovil is a large town with lots of pretty Somerset villages nearby, including Montacute and Barrington, both of which have National Trust properties. The world-famous Haynes International Motor Museum is located near Yeovil.

Cathedral City of Wells

Wells Cathedral has been in existence since the 1100's and the city has many other medieval buildings, including the Bishops Palace and Vicars Close.  There is a choice of excellent schools in Wells. The nearby Mendip Hills are popular with outdoor lovers for scenic walks and nature.

Lytes Cary Manor

Castle Cary

There is a train station with direct trains to London making Castle Cary popular with residents and tourists.  The station is the main arrival point for those attending Glastonbury Festival by train.  The historic town centre has plenty of independent shops, providing locally produced food and goods.  The gardens and hotel at The Newt are definitely worth visiting, fascinating throughout the year.

Glastonbury High Street

Known for its quirky and alternative vibe Glastonbury is a popular location within Somerset.

Also famous for the Glastonbury Performing Arts Festival, which takes place nearby, Glastonbury offers a choice of homes from the newly-built to traditional stone properties - all within easy reach of a High Street packed with interesting shops.
